social studies, literature, and lifeskills, written at an intermediate level
of English language proficiency. Each article will be linked to other
background-building and resource materials on the same topic. The ELL
Reference Center also will feature online research guides to help ELLs
conduct effective research and write academic papers. Course Crafters has
