Jeanette Gordon is a senior educational consultant for the Illinois Resource Center, an organization that serves linguistically and culturally diverse students in Illinois. She also provides consultative services at the national level and has been a presenter at state, national and international conferences. She offers ongoing staff development, workshops, keynotes and assistance to teachers, administrators, and other professionals in education.

Mrs. Gordon specializes in differentiated instructional planning that systematically coordinates promising educational practices with emphasis on the specific needs of students with limited language or literacy skills. She developed, "Give Me Five" Instructional Planning for Diverse Learners, a planning framework to assist educators in meeting the needs of a range of learners. She evaluates and recommends ESL materials to educators in Illinois and has provided feedback and consultative services to several publishers of materials for English language learners.
